Easter Craft Day

Today Brett had so much fun with his good buddies, Jaron and Toby. All three boys are learning from the same home preschool curriculum, so we thought it'd be fun to gather them all together for some Easter-related school activities and crafts. It was such a blast, I think we'll have to do it again for every holiday! The boys made hand-stamped Easter greeting cards, rolled and cut oval egg-shaped cookies, decorated their cookies (by far the most messy and fun part of our day), and went for a little indoor egg hunt.

Brett mixes cookie dough...he is totally infatuated with Mommy's mixer.

Jaron thought the ladybug stickers were pretty awesome.

Makin' cards

Makin' cookies (or rather, makin' a mess and eating it!)

Three little cuties, all sugared up

Baby Jack was in charge of guarding Toby's prized cookies.
It's an absolute crime that I don't have a single photo of baby Sami...but I took a ton with her mommy's camera so hopefully we can add some of that little cutie pie. She never fails to melt my heart!
Some memorable moments were when Jaron buried an unfrosted cookie in a mountain of sprinkles, Toby was so into his project that he nearly ate the glue stick, and Brett decided that it was most fun to dump whole containers of sprinkles into the bowls of tinted icing. Good times, good times.

I was anxious to see how this went! I've been wanting to have a cookie frosting party but haven't had the nerve yet... I'm glad you've already sold the house too so you didn't have to worry about a frosting covered floor!

Those look like some happy boys!

Jacki, you are SO right! I was immensely thankful that I didn't have to worry about a house showing call in the middle of our party. That would have been a disaster! We had more frosting and sprinkles on the floor than on the cookies. SO fun! I think the best way to do it would be on a sunny day outside so you could just hose everything off. :)
