Caution: Construction Zone

This is what ought to be displayed all around the perimeter of our front yard, to warn passers-by of the craziness that's going on inside our lovely new home. Yipes! It's been over two weeks since we owned our house on 110th, and we still haven't settled in yet. Here's a big shout-out to Grandma and Grandpa Brown for letting us camp out at their house until ours is done. :)

I know I'd been promising in-progress pictures for awhile now....so here they finally are!

Left - looking thru the new butler's pantry into the kitchen.
Right - wall going up between new dining and new office
Status today - these walls are all framed in, drywalled, mudded and textured. The pantry will get texture tomorrow, and then the remaining paint and trim will go up.

New carpet on the stairs and paint in the entry. The plastic runner is not permanent ;)

"Brett working hard!," he says as he "paints" the wall with a basting brush.

New paint going up in the entry...and...ta-DA! New hardwood!

It's covered in drywall dust..but I still adore it.

Brett helps out with sanding the front door.

It's no wonder it took them a long time, it's going to look like a whole new house! Which I think is amazing by the way. Fingers crossed for this week finally!!
