Today is Brett's Half-Birthday! In case you're wondering, the title of this post is half of "Happy Birthday." :) Can you believe he is already a 6-month old?!? This weekend we bought Brett two half-birthday presents: a pool and a gun. Okay, I'm not being quite clear...we bought him a baby blow-up pool, and a bubble-blowing gun. Yesterday Brett tested out his new pool for the first time! Mommy thinks he's going to take after her and be a star swimmer (probably not synchro, though). Today was Brett's first excursion to a water park! Wheeee! The Athey Creek moms had a day at the park with all the kiddos. I wish I'd snapped photos of all of them; they were soooo cute all drenched in the water! But I had a hard enough time getting shots of my little man as he teetered in the puddles. So here's what you get:

Here Brett is modeling his new Chinese jammies! Grandma brought them home from her recent excursion to China with her MBA students. Grandma sure knows best - Red is Brett's signature color. :)

Great day for a BBQ

On Sunday, our church held its first summer barbecue of 2008. The food was delicious, and the fellowship was a blessing. We were so happy that Grandma and Grandpa joined us! Brett enjoyed riding around in his classy chassis and flirting with the ladies (aka Casey, Meghann and Natalie).

Brett's New Friend

Today Brett got to go on a walk with cute little Shep, Meghann and Trevor's new puppy! He is suuuuuch a cutie. I didn't get the greatest photos, but you get the idea...










In culinary news, Brett got to taste avocadoes for the first time this week! Yummmmm.....







And in fashion news...
This is a photo of my little cutie in his new green overall shorts and matching shoes. The shorts have a beige embroidered lizard and the beige and green shoes, made by my aunt Betty, have cute little green reptilian dinosaurs on them. The best part about the shoes is that you can actually swap the little dinosaurs with all kinds of other cute decals, using velcro. I especially love the little red cars, and the panda bears. We just love it when our clothes match!! :)
