And now the fun begins...

Woohoo, we're finally in our house! Yep, that 5-day remodel took, er, THIRTY-TWO days. And not officially done yet, but at least done enough so the house could be cleaned and lived in. Yeah, living in here was sort of what we planned to do...right?!



I snapped some almost-done photos today for everyone's viewing pleasure. This Memorial Day weekend we're hoping to score some great deals on new furniture, and hopefully by the end of next month we'll be living box-and-mess-free.

The grand entrance - new hardwood, paint, carpet and refinished banister.

Entry looking into the living room - new fireplace mantle, painted cabinets (they were white), hardwood, and area rug. Coming soon - furniture.
New dining room (used to be a living room) - better pics to come when we lower the chandeleir and arrange the furniture.

The bedrooms and bonus room are not pictured yet...too many boxes! I'll reveal those as we finish up the unpacking. :)

Happy Belated to Big Sis Jaci!! We've been meaning to post this little video all week long. Sorry it's so late sweetie! Miss you lots....can't wait for Christmas!

Caution: Construction Zone

This is what ought to be displayed all around the perimeter of our front yard, to warn passers-by of the craziness that's going on inside our lovely new home. Yipes! It's been over two weeks since we owned our house on 110th, and we still haven't settled in yet. Here's a big shout-out to Grandma and Grandpa Brown for letting us camp out at their house until ours is done. :)



I know I'd been promising in-progress pictures for awhile now....so here they finally are!

Left - looking thru the new butler's pantry into the kitchen.
Right - wall going up between new dining and new office
Status today - these walls are all framed in, drywalled, mudded and textured. The pantry will get texture tomorrow, and then the remaining paint and trim will go up.


New carpet on the stairs and paint in the entry. The plastic runner is not permanent ;)

In all the busyness if our move and house construction lately, we just wanted to post a quick request for prayers for Jack Boehme, affectionately referred to as Papa Duck. He is scheduled for triple bypass heart surgery on Monday. Thanks much!!
