Tried and True Teething Tips?

Ohh, poor little Brett is really teething now...I think I can see his bottom two pushing up under his gums. I've given him cold teething rings/toys, as well as cold soaked washcloths. We're also doing Tylenol when it gets really bad. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't (i.e. screaming like a banshee)...any other tips on soothing my little man? I feel so bad for him...! Wise mommas - please post your teething tips in the comment section! I'd greatly appreciate it!

Frozen fruit or popsicles worked great with both of my girls. I also gave them a little ice cream at times if they were absolutely miserable. Tylenol didn't seem to work for my girls. We gave them Motrin, but your baby might be too young. Check with your dr. Good luck!

Naturopathic Hyland's Teething Tablets will be your new BEST FRIEND!!!!! They will dissolve under the tongue.....if you can get them there......We just worried about getting them into Dacia Grace's mouth...worked wonders! The instructions are on the back of the package....Can't remember what they are...but I know that our pediatrian was very supportive...there is not "addictive" quality to them....at least for Brett....now for you......I was quite addicted to them because they gave Dacia Grace RELIEF!

On another note.....the Hyland's Teething Gel was a WASTE of money. It did not work.....the Nighttime Orajel worked wonders but you can only use it for so long.

I do remember the pediatrician counseling me to keep Dacia Grace on the Tylenol and Motrin on a consistant basis during the worst of the time because it stayed ahead of the pain problem!

Frozen wash clothes were a favorite of hers but nothing was as dear as Mom's fingers!

I also found a rubber tipped spoon and froze it....she would chew on that but BEFORE the teeth broke through because then she was able to get bits of the rubber off!

We went on lots of walks to get her mind off of the pain.....a change of scenery late in the day when the pain was the worst or even at night seemed to help calm her down....

Also used the Hyland's Calm Tablets and the Colic Tablets in conjunction with the Teething Tablets to help calm her down.

Guess I should have just emailed you! : )

Nothing worked for Taylor either, except for the numbing gel. She would not go to sleep and she would wake up at night, but one drop of that stuff and she was good to go, it is a life saver! :)
